Radamel Falcao’s time in English football obvious to be coming to an end after he has found himself out of favour at Chelsea.

The club recently witnessed a managerial change that saw Guus Hiddink return to the club for a second spell. After giving Falcao a couple of opportunities, the Dutchman has decided to trust Diego Costa and Bertrand Traore when it comes to the striking duties. Falcao has been a major disappointment in his second season in English football. Last season, he made a minor impact at Manchester United and this season he has been subdued even further.

The striker has been linked with a move to Chinese football in what is seen as his final opportunity in the game to earn some money. However, it will not provide him with the competitiveness that is available in the European game. The player’s father has completely ruled out the possibility of joining a club in the far east for the time being. He says that the former Atletico Madrid striker wants to fight for his spot in European football. Only a few years ago, he was regarded as the best striker in world football but he is believed to have curtailed his career by trying to get back from a major injury in time for the World Cup 2014.

“I was with him about a month ago, he was very well, he knows how to handle these things. He was positive, every day preparing to come back. These injuries are normal in football. He likes challenges. He will keep playing in Chelsea until the end of the season. Many things can happen, he can start scoring goals and people can realise his importance. He is not thinking about moving to China at all. He is just thinking about playing for Chelsea. He is working every day to come back,” said the player’s father.
